'Bean Addiction', 'Buns & Moses' and 'Holy Toast' were selected as the most imaginative runner up names for the Ark Cafe! We're excited to reveal the new name and logo for our café, which is getting closer and closer to being ready to open! The Rev. Nick Thompson congratulated all the students who participated at a special ceremony last week at the school. Nick presented an award to the school and the deputy head master, Craig Robertson duly donated the money to Marlow Town Mayor, Cllr Richard Scott. The Mayor received it on behalf of a local mental health charity. Pictured above: Left to right, Deputy Headmaster, Craig Robertson, Borlaise Pupils, Town Mayor Cllr Richard Scott and Rev. MMC is spending £720,000 to transform our building to better serve the community. By June 2021 we'll have a public café (open five days a week) along with new toilets, a new kitchen, refurbished meeting rooms and a large new porch linking the Church with the hall. David Duxbury, who has spearheaded the project from its inception three years ago, is very thankful to all who have helped with fundraising, and is excited to open the new building as soon as it is ready. |
