STudents from Borlaise School Rewarded

'Bean Addiction', 'Buns & Moses' and 'Holy Toast' were selected as the most imaginative runner up names for the Ark Cafe!
We're excited to reveal the new name and logo for our café, which is getting closer and closer to being ready to open!

The Rev. Nick Thompson congratulated all the students who participated at a special ceremony last week at the school. Nick presented an award to the school and the deputy head master, Craig Robertson duly donated the money to Marlow Town Mayor, Cllr Richard Scott. The Mayor received it on behalf of a local mental health charity.

Chocolate eggs all round!

It was cold, very cold! Snow fell, but couldn't lie, driven as it was by a strong North wind that propelled the fluffy white flakes relentlessly across a sullen Riley Park.

Despite these inhospitable conditions, 40 children had an exciting time searching out a secret trail around the Park.

Each of 10 stations had been carefully equipped to illustrate aspects of the Easter story. At each, the children were asked to suggest a connection between the symbols and the death and resurrection of Jesus. There were no wrong answers and each idea entitled the participant to a special reward.

It was chocolate eggs all round and no one complained they didn't like chocolate! But top prize must surely go to Lynda for her idea in setting up this special celebration - thank you for a lovely afternoon in the freezing snow Lynda!

MMC is spending £720,000 to transform our building to better serve the community.

By June 2021 we'll have a public café (open five days a week) along with new toilets, a new kitchen, refurbished meeting rooms and a large new porch linking the Church with the hall.

David Duxbury, who has spearheaded the project from its inception three years ago, is very thankful to all who have helped with fundraising, and is excited to open the new building as soon as it is ready.

Joined by Martin Ashford of Christ Church, Paddy raised £2,400 for Christian Aid by abseiling down St Mary Magdalen in Oxford!

We love to support the work of this amazing charity, and to have fun while doing it is a fantastic bonus!
