Greetings to you all. Myself and my husband Paul are newly arrived in Marlow and enjoying getting to know Marlow and the surrounding areas. Whenever one starts something new there is a sense of both wonder and anticipation. Questions of both practical aspects and emotional ones come to your mind, small challenges and sometimes big ones. In these times I am reminded of one of my favourite bible passages - Jeremiah 29:11-13 "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." In the few weeks since my arrival we have seen the loss of a beloved Queen and a nation moved to mourning. The almost seamless transition to the leadership of a new King, brings both hope and wonder within us. Whatever the future may hold, one thing remains certain: the steadfast love of God, whose plans, we are told, give us hope and a future. |
